BEHIND THE MUSIC.....

ACTION had risen from the remains of many local Toronto bands back in late 2002/early 2003. We'd spent over a year gigging heavily in and around the Toronto area, playing anywhere and anytime we could. As word travelled concerning this new hardcore punk act, and subsequently some recognition, we recieved the invitation to sign up with Punkcore. By late 2004, we'd recorded and released our self-titled debut, to some pretty sound feedback (see "REVIEWS"). Around this time, long time friend and bassist Kyle, with whom we'd played since 1999, had taken an extended hiatus from the band to pursue the study of forensics. In the interum, his brother Jesse had a long run with us. He can now be found as the frontman for the mega-wicked Toronto band, Boulevard Trash (www.boulevardtrash.com)

By 2005, we'd begun making plans to tour. Through some series of events or another, we'd managed to get swept up into a tour with Defiance in March/April 2005. We played to some incredible crowds, with a great band, and saw some places of the world we'd never thought we'd see. However, by this time, our guitarst Mark had been showing a waning interest in the band outside of the prospect of getting to tour. This, among other issues, resulted in us parting ways after the US portion of the tour had been wrapped up. We finished the Canadian home stretch with Edmonton's Wednesday Night Heroes, playing with one less guitar player and our good friend and WEB GUY Tyler taking care of bass duties.

We more or less disbanded for a few months to gather our individual bearings, re-establigh relationships, pay off phone bills, and get back to reality. It had been a few months before we picked up where we left off and began finding new members. It wasn't hard, both good friends of the band Rick and Devin settled in with us rather quickly, and that brings us to where we are now. We're writing and rehearsing new material for a Spring 2006 sophomore album, in conjunction with a tour with San Fransisco's Monster Squad in March. We will descend upon Europe with Germany's SS KALIERT in Fall 2006, but until then, you'll be hearing from us.
